Bush bashing

President Bush warned Russia today that it must withdraw its troops from Georgia or face international isolation as his Secretary of State arrived in Tbilisi to push through a ceasefire agreement.
In a hawkish statement, Mr Bush derided Russian foreign policy as merely “bullying and intimidation” which he said was untenable in the 21st century.

I am sorry, and I know some of you may not agree, and I also know that I am very poorly informed on the whole problem between Russia and Georgia...but Bush speaking like this makes me think of him as a hypocrit: how can he say that Russia is bullying on a country when he has sent the American troops out with a similar goal. Yes, Bush has stated his reasons for the war on Iraq and some people agree, but I am one of those people who do not agree and one of those people who cannot stand Bush and believes that his acctions against Russia at the moment are very much hypocritical (sp?).

To be sure it is understood, I am not saying I believe Russia should keep on with their attacks. I do not. I am more one of those people who hates violence and chaos and do not support war unless there is a VERY GOOD reason for it. I am not a hippie pacisfist either though XD. And yes I know I should keep my mouth shut when not completely informed on a matter, but...oh well!

Cheers,

Drew
